repeat prescriptions

If your pet is on long term medication, you may require a repeat prescription. To order a repeat prescription, please telephone the surgery at least 24 hours prior to collection so a vet can issue approval and the drugs can be dispensed before you come to collect them.

Patients on long term medication need to be checked by the vet at least once every six months. This is important to ensure your pet is not suffering any adverse reactions and that the dose rate and medication are still appropriate. Your pet also needs to be a registered patient ‘under our care’. This requires by law a health check with a vet at least every six months for POM medicines and diets and annually for flea and worm control products.
