I am from Tipperary in Ireland originally and qualified as a vet from Dublin vet school in 2010. I have been living and working in Suffolk since August 2010 and have been happily working at Orwell vets since January 2014 - first as a vet, then as clinical manager, and since September 2019 as clinical director - a challenge that I am enjoying so far, although unfortunately it involves more time in the office and less time meeting clients and their lovely pets, which is a shame! I have a keen interest in internal medicine and in 2016, after 3 years of extra studying, I completed the BSAVA post graduate certificate in small animal medicine.
I live with my husband Matt, our very handsome black cat, Eddie (who is also a lifesaver as he has donated blood to help cats in need!); a very energetic boxer called Aoife (who has certainly had her share of health problems, but doesn't let it dampen her eternal optimism!); and the most recent addition, our son Isaac who arrived in 2018. In my spare time I enjoy dog walking, sailing, horse riding and exploring the Suffolk countryside with Matt on our tandem bicycle!
